Humidity Tray

Humidity trays are great for boosting humidity for you indoor plants that need a little moisture. As I was in bed last night, I noticed that one of my alocasias was drooping and I immediately thought to create a humidity tray. I’ve seen a few people on Instagram raving about them so here we are.

What you’ll need:

·      Pebbles/stones which can be purchased from your local dollar tree

·      Saucer which can be found at your local Lowe’s, Walmart, home depot, Ikea etc. You’ll want to make sure it’s a little bigger than the pot that hold your plant.

·      Water

Steps:

1.     Select a larger saucer or tray

2.     Fill the saucer with pebbles/stones

3.     Fill saucer/tray with ½ of water. Be sure to fill the tray but not to the point that the water is going over the pebbles

4.     Place your desired plant on top of the saucer. As the water evaporates, it will create a bubble of humidity around the plant

Be sure to check your humidity tray often as the water will be evaporating. Refill once water completely evaporates. Always use your best judgement.
